My philosphy with teaching kids how to sew is to keep it fun and practical.
The classes are small and personal so I can get a round to everyone and guide them through everything.

The sewing lesson are aimed for children from 8 years to 11/12 years of age. if you are wanting a teenage class then I can put class together with older kids.

The adult classes also only have 4 people per class.

Below in each class I cover what is taught.

What Our Customers say

Lara just wanted to let you know that we had a great time and feel really confident using the sewing machine. It was very special to attend the class with my daughter. She came home and immediately whipped up a tote bag 🙂 Thank you so much.

Thoroughly enjoyed my beginner lesson with Lara this morning. I literally had to unpack my sewing machine that I purchased approx 5 years ago at Lara’s house and start from scratch. Lara explained with great patience everything to me as many times as I requested. Therefore by the time I left I felt pretty competent at working my way around the sewing machine, a great feat for my menopausal brain. I even attempted a hem... Lara has a lovely nature and made me feel extremely comfortable. I am now off to Spotlight to purchase some accessories to get my sewing adventure started. Thank you Lara. Highly recommended!!

My eldest did the teenage day course and just loved it. She is very proud of her pencil case and her skirt. She found it useful to refresh her skills and learn lots of new ones too. Thanks so much Lara! Let us know when the next course is happening.

My 8yo daughter attended a beginner sewing class. Numbers were kept to a minimum to ensure each child had time to ask questions and understand concepts. The ability to borrow a sewing machine was a big advantage and my daughter enjoyed her time and loves to show everyone what she sewed! Lara was excellent in her communication with the questions I had beforehand and also when engaging with the children. We’ll be back! Thanks 😁
